Jack3d vs 1MR. Two of the hottest selling pre-workout products on the market right now are Jack3d and 1MR.
I have taken both of these products on a consistent basis as well as most of the other top pre-workout products. I like to think that I train hard. I wake up around 6 every morning to hit the weights. I am not a morning person so my pre-workout product has to deliver. The following is a quick summary of the effects of each product and my opinion as to which product is truly the best.
1MR
Energy: I take this product the same time I take all of my pre-workouts, first thing in the morning on an empty stomach about 20 minutes before my workout. By the time I get to the gym I am ready to get after it. This stuff really amps me up for my workouts, which is a feat since I’m generally worthless in the mornings. As far as the caffeine induced energy I give it a 10 / 10!
The Pump: I must say I was a little concerned that my pumps would suffer the first few times I took 1MR. Because this formula is so concentrated, you don’t use much per serving. I had become accustomed to 2 or 3 scoops of products like NO-Explode and SuperPump 250. So the tiny scoop made me a little apprehensive. To my surprise my pump was awesome! 1MR totally blew me away! On the pump I give it a 9 / 10!
Cons: During your workout 1MR is great, but if you don’t want that insane energy to last a good 6 hours after your workout this isn’t the product for you. If you have trouble sleeping at night don’t take it within 6-8 hours of your bedtime. Because I take it first thing in the morning it usually wears off for me around 2pm. Around that time I do experience a bit of a crash, but nothing a cup of coffee can’t fix.
Overall: Though the taste isn’t that great (it’s drinkable), once you get it down I promise you’ll be ready to run through walls…or get a killer workout, whatever you’re into. Overall I give 1MR a 9.5 out of 10!
Jack3d
Energy: Like I said I have high expectations for my pre-workout products. I’m dragging in the mornings and I depend on my sups to prepare me for the gym each morning. With Jack3d I was honestly a little disappointed, other than a pretty intense tingling sensation on the bottom of my feet (from the Alanine) I didn’t feel a whole lot. I did notice a little more energy after I started taking 2 scoops instead of one, but still not anything close to 1MR or even NO-Explode. As far as energy I would have to give this product a 7 out of 10.
The Pump: It was there but it required 2 scoops and it still wasn’t the same skin tearing pump that I get with other products. I was able push and my workouts weren’t bad, but I never got “Jacked”. If it’s the pump your after I would go with NO-Xplode over Jack3d, but that’s just me. 7 out of 10 for the pump.
Cons: I just didn’t get the rush of energy that I had become accustomed to when I took 1MR. Sure I felt a slight increase in energy, but nothing a cup of coffee couldn’t do for me. The itching / tingling sensation was more intense then I’ve experienced with other products. I don’t think it gives you any benefit and it can be pretty annoying to itch for your entire workout.
Overall: Seriously disappointed. It must be the rad name because there’s not much I like about this product other than that. The only other thing to like is the price, it’s one of the least expensive products on the market. And after trying it I know why (there’s not much in it). Overall I give Jack3d a 7 out of 10. It would be a great product for a beginner or for someone on a tight budget.
In conclusion Jack3d Vs 1MR isn’t even fair. 1MR is in another league when compared to Jack3d. In my opinion I have yet to try another product that delivers close to what 1MR does. As of right now 1MR stands alone as the undisputed champion of pre-workout products. But this is just my opinion, so take it for what it’s worth.

i finished a whole tub of jack3d, i did feel quite energetic, but not what i expected. What i noticed most was the tingling sensation, over my feet and on my face. i just got myself a tub of 1.m.r, quite exited to try this stuff!!

Good stuff here. Thanks. Have you guys tried Muscletech Neurocore yet? Looks the same as Jack3d but they use Citruline instead of Arginine. The claim is that this stuff is better for Nitric Oxide utilization and pumps. Would also like to hear about Hemo Rage. Thanks.
I think I tried a scoop of Muscletech’s Neurocore a few weeks ago, but only once so not enough to know if it’s got the same kick as 1MR, if I remember right it tasted amazing. As for Hemo Rage, I tried it a few times about 2 years ago. I wasn’t that impressed. So unless they have changed their proprietary blend recently it’s still miles behind 1MR.
